Panties and Light-Control Girdles
A woman's panties cover the graceful mons veneris, or Mount of Venus, situated directly above the vagina or entrance to the womb, which provides a cushion of fat, serving to prevent any injury to either party during the act of coition. The breasts, the abundant supply of hair on the head, the graceful curve of the thigh, hip and body, are believed, by artists and sculptors, to be perhaps the most perfect expression of grace, delicacy and beauty to be found in Nature.
Department stores and specialty shops that carried a nice selection of panties always formed a lure for Branice to join the women looking through the racks of bras, girdles and panties.
Shopping at North Hills
Branice always looked forward to shopping for panties at the stores in North Hills, a place where many mature women bought their panties.
A trip to Ivey's was usually first on the list. Branice stepped through the cosmetic counters at Ivey's, passing by the handbags, then down the escalator and over to the intimate department with bras, girdles and panties. There, Branice began the shopping that she most enjoyed, looking through the racks and racks of panties. She noticed and examined carefully many pair of panties hanging on the little hangers. With only a few women shopping in the intimate wear department, Branice felt unhurried to look at and feel the kinds of elastic waist bands; the lace around the leg openings; and the size, texture and absorbency of the crotch shields. Even if a rack of panties was not her exact size, Branice took the opportunity to notice and feel the panties anyway, since each pair of these panties would soon be worn by some woman in her daily activities.
After making her selections of panties at Ivey's, Branice took them to the young girl at the central checkout counter who deftly removed each pair of panties from the little plastic hanger and then made a sales slip with the Ivey's charge card that Branice handed her. The young salesgirl then deftly folded the panties, just as she had learned to fold her own panties, and placed them in an Ivey's bag for Branice. Having made her selections and completed her purchase, Branice stepped on the escalator with her new panties and returned to the main floor of Ivey's.
Added Dimensions Panties
The Added Dimensions shop was down the steps on the lower level at North Hills. Branice usually passed through Added Dimensions to browse through the racks of blouses, skirts and sweaters and to look through the racks of panties. The selection of panties at Added Dimensions did not seem to be as high quality as the panties at Ivey's or the panties at Lane Bryant. Nonetheless, Branice looked through the rack of panties at Added Dimensions even though she often decided not to buy her panties at this shop.
After leaving the Added Dimensions shop Branice often walked the entire length of the North Hill shopping Center to shop for panties and girdles at the Penney's store. The lower level at Penney's had a nice selection of panties and girdles with a large selection of panty girdles displayed on a rack. Branice couldn't wait to finger through these racks of panties and girdles and make her selections.
Penney's selection of panties comprised a broad selection of colors in pink, beige, blue, and often a few exotic colors. Branice didn't seem to have any problem with the sizes of panties at Penney's, since the selection of panties at Penney's included panties large enough for a woman with larger hips.
Lane Bryant Panties
Shopping for panties at the Lane Bryant store was always a nice pleasure. Branice was frequently noticed the very stretchy control-panties. These satiny elastic panties in beige had only the briefest crotch thong. Branice was always intrigued when felt these thongs with her fingers that a woman would have any support for a Kotex in her panties. When a woman pulled this elastic control panty over her silky panties with the Kotex, the thong of this control panty would cut a crease into the crotch of the silky panty holding the Kotex. Even so, Branice usually bought a couple of pair of these beige control-stretch panties.
Sometimes a man who happened to be in the Lane Bryant store waiting for his wife might notice Branice fingering through the racks of panties hanging on the little plastic hangers. Branice grew accustomed to this attention and continued to look through the panties, making her selections and taking them to the central checkout counter to join the line of women waiting to pay for their selections. There, standing in line with the other women, Branice held several hangers of panties waiting to pay for them while the man might continue to watch with curiosity and amusement.
Shopping at Crabtree
Branice often shopped for panties at Belk's in the Crabree shopping center. As Branice continued to linger and spend a lot time looking through the racks of panties, the sales clerks seemed to become a little impatient with Branice spending so much time looking through their panties. Shopping for panties at the Lane Bryant store on the upper level of the Crabree shopping center was just as enjoyable as the Lane Bryant store in the North Hills center. Shopping for panties at Thalhimers on the upper level of the Crabree shopping center. Branice would walk through the Thalhimers store on the upper level to the far-right corner with the intimate wear. Branice usually preferred Miller and Rhoads where the selection of panties was better.
Miller & Rhoads Panties
When shopping for panties at Miller & Rhoads on the upper level of the Crabree shopping center, Branice would walk through the Miller & Rhoads store on the upper level to the far-left corner with the intimate wear. In one part of the intimate wear at Miller & Rhoads, Branice could look through the racks of girdles and corselettes. The women had a nice selection with stretchy powernet and rigid embroidered nylon. Branice had often worn girdles very similar to the ones she was leisurely fingering through and feeling. Within a few weeks a number of these very girdles would be molding the figures of women. Several girdles had a downstretch back panel to firm the derriere. Many of the support bras had cushioned tricot straps. The girdles often had six garters and were made with fibers of nylon, acetate, rubber and spandex. Several girdles had stretchy powernet lace and marquisette tummy panels with reinforced sections to slim the waist. Many of the girdles had a nylon zipper over hook-and-eye front closings. Beautiful marquisette-lined nylon cups offered uplift and rounded support for women. Branice spent many enjoyable moments leisurely fingering through the girdles and corselettes in Miller & Rhoads that would soon be molding the figures of women.
On the opposite wall from the girdles, Branice could look through the racks of panties. She noticed and examined carefully many pair of panties hanging on the little hangers. Branice felt unhurried to be among the women who were shopping for bras, girdles and panties. Miller & Rhoads carried the top quality brands of Vasserette. Branice took this opportunity in the intimate wear department to leisurely notice and feel the panties, since each pair would soon be worn by some woman in her daily activities.
After making her selections of panties, Branice took them to the intimate checkout counter where the saleslady deftly removed each pair of panties from the little plastic hanger and then made a sales slip with the Miller & Rhoads charge card that Branice handed her. The saleslady then deftly folded the panties, just as she would fold her own panties, and placed them in an Miller & Rhoads bag for Branice. Having made her selections and completed her purchase, Branice left the intimate department with her new panties and continued through the upper level of Miller & Rhoads.
