Branice bought a number of girdles in Dayton at Goodwill Industries and at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. These girdles were typical of the 1940s and included side-zip girdles and All-in-Ones. Branice was especially tense when buying these girdles. First she browsed the store to furtively survey and assess the girdles, then impulsively she scouped a number of girdles, sheepishly proceeded to the lady at checkout, and finally dashed from the store. One especially nice All-in-One had lace fabric for the bracups and throughout the garment bodice. As was usual, this All-in-One was an intimate nude (pale flesh pink) color with 6 elastic garters.
